Stud Dogs

Here at Sandaharr Boerboels we have the most comprehensive choice in Boerboel breeding males in the UK. We have our own stud dogs, we have stud dogs placed with trusted friends, we have breeding agreements with other owners and Boerboel breeders at our disposal and most importantly we have an enviable collection of frozen semen with a new collection from various dogs arriving summer 2011. None of the semen imported by ourselves shall be available to anybody other than ourselves. We have found that too many people are happy to sit back and allow us to do all the hard work, building contacts and relationships over the last 5 years, going to the trouble and expense of bringing the semen in and then step in and presume to be able to make use of it. That is all stopped and while it may seem selfish, we have learned some hard lessons in the past and as stated below, if you want these lines, then you book a puppy from us.

We are not content to rest on our laurels, yes, we have produced some amazing Boerboels but we have never been the type of Boerboel breeder that settles for breeding pet to pet, again and again, just for the sake of it. It is important that our breeding programme moves forward, though unlike some breeders in the UK, we do not 'pimp' out our males to all and sundry. This Boerboel breeding programmeof ours continues with our fourth generation male Boerboel puppy, Shuggie.

We do line breed back to the Ysterberg lines, on occasions, tightly, and make no apology for it, in this way we are trying to set the type we like, we keep a tight control on the health of the various generations and we can breed for the traits we like and vice versa, we can breed away from certain traits and health problems also. Outcrosses shall be rarely brought in or used, though we do acknowledge the need for an outcross on one side of the pedigree only on occasion to save from breeding ourselves into a corner.

Please do not phone or mail me about any frozen semen that I have stated is NOT FOR SALE from a particular male, if you wish the lines that we have then please feel free to contact me about booking a puppy. Please be advised that we plan at least two years into the future so some pups from certain combinations may already be booked.

All these dogs you shall see have either been used already, or shall be used in the future by us or other Boerboel breeders.


	SANDAHARR BRONSON - (Celtic Connection Razina x Ysterberg Sokket). Our boy now out in Australia at Ataraxia Boerboels doing what he does best, meeting the girls! Proven stud, fully health tested, now almost 5 years old. We are pleased to have here still, his mum, two sisters, two daughters and a grandson of him. Frozen semen available in the UK and for export worldwide to discerning Boerboel breeders with correct, health tested females. A truly great male, with one of the best Boerboel heads you will ever see. Bronson was a loving family dog for us but has a serious side with strangers who expect him to be a pussycat. 	YSTERBERG SOKKET - (from Ysterberg Bella x Ysterberg Vegter III) - Sadly no longer with us but what a legacy this dog has left with his offspring. A truly incredible dog, a real working Boerboel and I am proud to say that we have still have his 2 daughters here with us ,JJ and Juicy. We have 3 grand-daughters Aggi, Milly and Happy and his great grandson, Shuggie. It is safe to say that we have based pretty much most of our kennel on this great dog, though like Bronson he wasn't without his faults. He brings an excellent muscularity to the dogs but some may be highly driven/hyperactive and do require a firm hand. SEMEN NOT FOR SALE.

	YSTERBERG LAKSMAN - (from Ysterberg Troffel x Ysterberg Rinkals) - This grand old gent is now 13 year years old and has really put his stamp on the breed worldwide. He produced an amazing litter for us and other breeders to Vrystaat Surprise in 2006. This dog brings (hopefully) longevity into the lines, he brings very correct fronts, great rear angulation and a superb topline. We have one of his sons here with us, Kato,an outstanding example at almost 5 years old. Laksman also seemed to produce dogs in that litter that are very social with other dogs, a boon in a kennel of mixed sexes and ages of dogs. SEMEN NOT FOR SALE.

	SANDAHARR KATO - (Vrystaat Surprise x Ysteberg Laksman) - We hadn't seen this boy since May 2007 when we had the very difficult decision to make between keeping him or Bronson, on refelction we should have kept them both! Immediately on seeing him 2 months ago I decided he had to come back to us as he is just an excellent all round dog ,with the most amazing temperament you have ever seen for a mature male Boerboel. Recently appraised by Boerboel International, gaining an excellent grading and passed the newly implemented temperament test. Fully health tested at almost 5 years old, has not yet been used at stud. 	DANDALOO MACK - (from Ataraxia Nyah x Ysterberg Sokket) - sadly this boy is no longer with us but we are pleased to say that we have his frozen semen for careful use in the future. We line bred Mack and Juicy to give us an immense litter, on the whole, back in 2009. We have his daughter Happy here and have the use of various males from the litter, including Neo and Butch. Fully health tested with a very, very low hip score and perfect elbows for such a size of a dog (85kgs). I have plans to use him on the offspring of another planned mating using Ysterberg stock again. SEMEN NOT FOR SALE.

	EXCALIBUR KRON - (from Excalibur Mylaika x Ysterberg Sokket) - no longer with us due to an accident but as we have his frozen semen he can be used in our future breeding programme with the correct bitch. Fully health tested. This boy has one of the lowest hip scores worldwide under the BVA, a 2/1 with perfect elbows. As Kron is an Irish marked Boerboel we shall only use him on a solid coloured female that we know does not already carry the recessive piebald gene. 	AVALONIA WALDOR - (from Avalonia Misty x Faresa Pom) What can you say about this power house of a dog? I personally met this dog out in SA and he is amazing, both in temperament and in looks, some of these pictures don't even do him justice. Waldor has produced some quality males and females out in Australia with Ataraxia Boerboels. We hope to use some of these offspring in the next few years as our breeding programme continues. As you see from the photos he is a very large, strong male but has a sweet temperament which makes a huge difference. SEMEN NOT FOR SALE.

	SANDAHARR NEO - (Sandaharr Juicy x Dandaloo mack) - Neo is a superbly fit, healthy and superactive male. This boy is no couch potato and has a very high exercise drive, he is ably owned, and exercised and loved by a good friend, Wullie, not too far away from us. Neo is fully health tested, appraised and has just recently passed his Boerbeol temperament test recently implemented by Boerboel International as part of their appraisal system. Neo is a very dry-muscled dog, exercised hard, so not an ounce of excess bulk on him. Obedience level is like his mother Juicy's, very good, in fact he was trained to the whistle at an early age, is now only 18 mths old. His semen shall be offered in the future to correct, health tested females from discerning owners/breeders. SEMEN FOR SALE.

	SANDAHARR BUTCH - (Sandaharr Juicy x Dandaloo Mack). Another sibling from this super litter, brother to Neo and Happy. Butch lives with friends closeby too. He is owned and loved by Thomas, Kathleen and Thomas (Junior!), Butch is a super family dog with a strong protective instinct over his 'brother' Thomas. Like Neo and Happy, Butch is fully health tested, appraised and has successfully passed the Boerboel temperament test that forms part of the Boerboel International appraisal for 2011. He is a large, striking, well muscled male. Just like Neo he also often comes up for visits so we can see how well he is turning out. Butch is a proven stud dog and he is offered at stud by his owners for use on correct, health tested females. 	IMMER MOED GIORGIO DIEGO - (Marvell Muffin x Ysterberg Beretta) - having met both parents of this boy I felt comfortable in using him on our outcross bitch, Linjo Roxy, to bring us something a bit different for our kennels. Willem Touw of Immer Moed Boerboels kindly agreed to let us use him on her and he also looked after Roxy until we were able to get her back into the UK a few weeks later. We are pleased with the resulting puppies, all but one are short and thick set with great, wide heads and good strong bone. 	SANDAHARR HAGRID - (Sandaharr JJ x Sandaharr Rannoch) - here is a boy to watch for the future. Hagrid is owned by Bouduccia Boerboels and what a boy he is turning out to be. He has his mother's most loving laid back temperament and good looks,while carrying on his father's stunning coat colour. He is appraised and has passed his Boerboel temperament test (for 12-18mths dogs) that forms part of the new Boerboel International appraisal.Donna and Mark of Bouduccia Boerboels are firm believers in obedience training and socialisation of all their dogs. This dog has tremendous bone, chest and head and still only a baby. 	SANDAHARR MONTY - (Sandaharr Bronson x Immer Moed Anne) - This boy, just like his father is on his way out to Australia. He is a super male, a bit on the heavy side due to overfeeding by the owners but he is very well loved and spoiled. He brings strong, thick bone, great topline, wonderful chest and angulation. He is a calm and effective guard dog. He is fully health tested and is the father of our own boy Zeffer Blizzard (Shuggie).

	ZEFFER SOUTHALL and ZEFFER SHUGGIE - (Sandaharr Nessa x Sandaharr Monty) - these two male pups are brothers, Southall is owned by Cariad Boerboels in Wales and Shuggie is owned by us. The quality of this litter was fantastic. These two dogs shall be shared as studs with each of our kennels dependant on what dog suits the bitches they are to be put to. Obviously they are only puppies but we keep fingers crossed that they both turn out very good. At the moment Southall is the more complete dog, has better body length and a stronger rear than his brother. Greg and Lynn do a super job in his training and socialising their puppy Southall. 	MARVELL LOEBAS - (Vanderbijl Toska x Ysterberg Mouzer Bulla) - Another real gentleman of a dog. We met this boy at Immer Moed in Holland while he was staying with Willem Touw and he has sired two litters for us back in 2005. Loebas has a very solid, stable temperament and this is reflected in his offspring. He is a very 'correct' male and not overdone in any way. We were pleased we were allowed to use him, he produced wonderful pets for our puppy /dog owners. We flew reknowned vet and breeder, Nico Fernhout over from Holland to A.I. our girl Razzy with chilled semen which had been taken from Loebas. This was the first litter of Boerboel puppies born in Scotland.

	SANDAHARR RANNOCH - (Vrystaat Surprise x Ysterberg Laksman) - This boy is a very elegant type of Boerboel, now that he has lost weight he is a good, athletic boy. A very good temperament, though like most large males does not like his 'space' being encroached. Like his son G-Boy he is a very social dog with other dogs in his own family. Fully health tested and appraised by both SABT and EBBASA. This dog is physically owned by another family but we own the frozen semen which is available for use in the UK and Worldwide, including Australia. Rannoch has produced some very large males and females in his first litter, of which G Boy was a pup. He carries the recessive Piebald gene. FROZEN SEMEN FOR SALE.

	RANNOCH G-BOY - (Sandaharr Della x Sandaharr Rannoch) - G-Boy is a large, strong male who leans more towards looking like his Uncle (Kato) than his actual sire. He is owned physically by a family near us and he has the most wonderful temperament you could ask for for a family guardian. Like our own Kato he is a very social animal and gets on well with all dogs, be it intact males, neutered males or females. He will never be the most athletic of Boerboels but if you are needing the addition of a sweet emperament and to add some bulk to your dogs then this could be the dog for you. He is fully health tested ,with a very low hip score for his size and was appraised by EBBASA in 2009. His frozen semen is under our ownership and is available in the UK and for export worldwide, though it has to be noted that it will not be allowed into Australia as the collection taken AFTER the successful Brucellosis result was not of high enough quality to export.
