ANNIE - We have brought Annie over from Immer Moed Boerboels in Holland and we thank Willem very much for this. Annie is a half sister to Razzy, sharing Fritz as their father. Our very own Prizey is Annie's grandmother and with the fantastic health, conformation and temperament that her gran has, we don't think Annie will let us down as she is very like her. This girl has a very strong, powerful movement and is very obedient (thank you Willem). She has settled in well with all the dogs, though we have to say that her favourites are Bronson and Shady. She has also proved to be very well behaved with all our many visitors, including children and she is full of fun.

RAZZY - Raz was the first Boerboel to join us in Scotland at Sandaharr and as such was immediately spoiled rotten, primarily by myself.. This girl has proved to be a very loving, loyal dog with an excellent guarding instinct and a natural love for children, even although she has not been raised with them. Razzy has accepted lots of other dogs into her home from the smallest Terrier to the largest Old English Sheepdog. She is extremely athletic and has an aptitude for jumping fences and gates, a trait which seems to have been passed down from her grandmother. Razzy can be highly prey driven when out in the fields with the rabbits and is a born stalker, as the other dogs will testify!!

MOPSA - Wee Mopsa, this fun loving girl came to us as a 3 year old from a friend. She was one of the first Boerboels we met along with her mother Mayhem, and is partly the reason we are now so dedicated to the breed. Mopsa has an unending energy and is the most obedient dog you could hope to own. Again, this is a very athletic dog ,she has less of a guarding instinct that Raz and is what we call the original 'Velcro' dog, wants to stick by your side at all times!! Mopsa and Razzy are half sisters, sharing the same mother, and they both have Mayhem's wonderful temperament, which is paramount in this breed. Mopsa is not prey driven but she is food driven, we also call her 'The Hoover'!!

SURPRISE - Prizey joined us from South Africa via Belgium being previously owned by Siglensal Kennels then adopted by us at Sandaharr. This dog is the epitome of super cool! This is one one laid back lady who only will come and get petted only when she decides, not before. When she wants to play she is full on fun and she loves being groomed. Prizey is the best red brindle we have seen in the breed and has the most fantastic health and shape for being an older girl. For only being with us a short time she has settled right in with the other girls and loves the boys!! Prizey is never in a hurry and the only thing that makes her gallop is the promise of dinner or a treat!!! Another food driven gal!

ZEKE - Zeke is a puppy from Mopsa and is an outstanding dog in temperament and shape. Like his mum he is not the tallest of Boerboels but has the most fantastic front and head and his loving nature can't be matched by any other dog. Although very soft natured with people he has already shown a great deal of confidence with all other dogs and is a very good guard with strangers, especially in his garden. Razzy and Zeke are very close and love nothing better than a tug-o-war game in the house! Zeke is the one that tugs at your heartstrings when you visit, including friends David and Anita from Edinburgh who are to be his new mum and dad as they fell in love with him and changed their minds from a new puppy to an older puppy, our Zeke!

BRONSON - This is one of Razzy's boys to Ysterberg Sokket now at Atatraxia kennels in Australia. We have great hopes for this boy and will keep you updated on his progress. This puppy, alongside his sister 'JJ', have been our pick of the litter. They have shown to have great bone, good strong heads, good angulation, amazing pigmentation and a bit of attitude, all the things we were striving to achieve in this breeding. This boy has already shown great confidence at our place and is completely unfazed by the horses that are around us. He will lose his black overlay you see in the photo and will become a solid red with that beatiful black mask.

JJ - As stated before, she is also from Razzy. We liked this girl from a very early age and she just got better and better. JJ is smaller than the other females in the litter but has that stockiness that we like. As you will see from the photo at 4 weeks she already looks to have a great chest, head and super bone. JJ is also our favourite colour for a Boerboel, (though that should always be last consideration when looking for a puppy). We think we love her so much as she is so like her mother. She is a bit of a livewire but I'm sure Razzy will keep her daughter in place when she steps out of line. Like Bronson she will attend training classes for manners from around 8-9 weeks of age.

ZOE - Sadly our girl contracted meningitis the day before she was due to leave South Africa and was very sadly put to sleep as she wouldn't have had a quality of life. We are very upset by this, as is her breeder Johan, who had formed a very strong bond with her over the last 6 months. Our thanks go to him for doing all he possibly could to help her. We won't forget her and she will always have a place on our site and in our hearts.

SHADY - Quite obviously this girl is not a Boerboel, she is our only Akita and is very much loved. Shady does not have your typical Akita temperament, instead of being aloof she is full of fun and just wants to jump up and kiss you all over, part of the reason we love her so much!! This girl is hyperactive and luckily with our move out to the farm she can have all the exercise she wants and needs. At the moment Shady is teaching Layla how to hunt rabbits when out in the fields, she is teaching her all the tricks!! Shady gets on well with all the other dogs and is a fantastic mother to puppies.

DINKY - This is a beautiful female from Dandaloo Mack. She has almost perfect conformation at the moment and what a great nature this little lady has. She loves to rollover and have her belly rubbed and is great with all other dogs. She is a very undemanding, easy going puppy. We will update her pics as she grows. (Note the tail, all tail docking banned in Scotland from April 2007 so from now on all our pups will be left with tails and dew claws on.)

ROXY - Roxy is from Linjo kennels and is a replacement for poor Zoe from last year. She was chosen in February when i was out for a visit and has developed into the most stunning girl. She has a super friendly nature and our thanks go to our SA parents Johan and Linda Swart and also Johan Jnr for raising her to be the fantastic dog she is. She has to spend some time in Holland to be pet passported before joining us in Scotland next year. We hope to be able to fly out and see how she is getting on at Makosi Boerboels.
