On this page we thought you would like to know what we at Sandaharr have done so far for the good of the breed
within the UK over the last few years. This encompasses health and improving the genepool.

	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to create their own line, i.e a Sandaharr bred dog being mated to another Sandaharr bred dog. In this way we have a tighter control on our own health database and can start to see what dogs are producing what traits rather than using guesswork and prayers. We  now own our fourth generation puppy, Shuggie.
	First and only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to breed and own the top appraised dog and bitch with both the SABT and EBBASA in the same year, 2008. See Sandaharr Morlich and Sandaharr Etive, (Bronson and Ayda).
	First and only Boerbeol Breeder to breed the top two winning home bred dogs together to then in turn produce another top two winning dogs. See Sandaharr Scaramanga and Sandaharr Pussy Galore, (Bruno and Aggi-2010).
	First UK Boerboel Breeder to breed and own the top winning bitch in Europe and second top male. (2010)
	First and only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to breed 8 out of the top 9 dogs at an SABT appraisal.
	First and possibly only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to import frozen semen from South African dogs.
	First and only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to import frozen semen from Australian dogs.
	First and only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to fly in a European veterinary reproductive specialist, (Nico Fernhout of Pitlochry kennels) with a collection of fresh,chilled semen for the A.I. of our girl Razzy to create the first litter of Boerboels in Scotland.
	First and only Boerboel Breeder in the UK to have artificially inseminated their bitches using all 3 methods of insemination, Norwegian catheter, transcervical and surgically, (suitability for each method dependant on the bitch in question) over the years with aforementioned frozen semen.
	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to personally microchip each and every puppy in our litters.
	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to routinely DNA profile all our own breeding stock and every pup within a litter, all records held by the KC of Great Britain. Pups now DNA profiled at request of any new owners who in  turn wish to breed from their own dogs.
	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to routinely eye test their breeding dogs under the BVA system of eye screening tests available including as well, the gonioscopic test.
	First Boerboel Breeder to provide dogs, advice and help in the set up of various other Boerboel breeding kennels in the UK and Ireland. Please see Bouduccia, Cariad, Sahara and Odyssey Boerboels. Please be advised that although we also set up 3 other Boerboel breeders in the UK, with the very best of intentions, due to them either crossbreeding the Boerboel, breeding from underage/unappraised/unhealth - tested dogs, having poor breeding ethics, ignoring sound, tried and tested advice to the detriment of their puppies, (whelping and rearing of) and/or leaving bills left unpaid to us we shall no longer work with, nor assist them. We cannot condone any of this, they know who they are.
	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to successfully complete temperament tests with their dogs and bitches within the appraisal system under Boerboel International. (2011)
	First Boerboel Breeder in the UK to arrange the breeding of their own lines to own their own fourth generation puppy. (See Shuggie).
	Finally we are the ONLY breeder in the UK that continues to line breed to the wonderful Ysterberg dogs from South Africa.
